 Thermal Imaging Manufacturer Gets
Linear With New Low-Cost Line Camera

DEXTER, MI March 9, 2008 - Ann Arbor Sensor Systems, LLC, a manufacturer focused on affordable thermal imaging, unveiled a new thermal line camera for the factory floor this month. Affordable. Networkable. Remarkable.

The new AXT110 Thermal Line Camera (pictured above) sets the bar high for true value and quality in radiometric thermal imaging. Best outfitted for industrial automation and inspection, its powerful image processing, rugged packaging, and flexible rigging options make this camera ideal for a host of applications.

As a line camera, the AXT110 takes a strip snapshot of a moving target and builds thermal imagery over time. This configuration allows for higher sampling rates as well as superior spacial resolution along the axis of motion.

The AXT110 is no ordinary fixed-mount. This affordable thermal imaging system contains an internal Web server. The AXT110 uses this server to broadcast live video across any Ethernet-based network. Users can change analog video attributes on-the-fly over the network with a standard browser.

The AXT110 is Modbus-IDA ready- any Modbus-equipped PLC can inquire alarm status, which is set via browser-based firmware.

Additionally, the AXT110 can interface with ADAM 6000 Series I/O Modules. These I/O modules have relays and digital outputs that are under the camera's control. The camera calculates thermal alarms as well as recommended heater outputs and passes the values to the ADAM via TCP Modbus. Serial-based PLCs or analog circuitry can then read out these signals.

The AXT110 ships with Cascade, a software program used to display thermal imagery, record data to hard disk, and graph and report on such data. Real-time and post-processing features are embedded within this included software program.

The AXT110 is well-suited for thermal process control and automation. More on this product...
